Welcome to the Maritime English Journal. The Journal is a refereed publication which aims at providing on-line access to all those involved in the research, teaching, learning and usage of English in the Maritime profession.

The Maritime English Journal studies the structure, development and usage of English inside of this very specialized profession, and in particular, its relationship to and effect on and within standard Englishes. The Journal is the sister journal to the long established Asian EFL Journal
